Spirit and Frontier End Merger Agreement

Updated July 27, 2022 4:42 pm ET Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines terminated their merger agreement Wednesday, ending a monthslong news battle over the discount carrier’s fate.
With Frontier out of the picture, Spirit could agree to an acquisition by JetBlue Airways which it had previously rejected. Spirit said Wednesday that it would continue discussions with JetBlue.
