The new Analogue Pockets Might be One of the Cutest Holiday Releases

Analogue has just relaunched the Pocket in some new, charming colors. It brought back the OG colors of the Game Boy Advance and Pocket to its new Classic Limited Edition consoles. These colors are blue, green, indigo, spice orange, pink, red, silver, and yellow. Panic’s Playdate Handheld is Almost Here According to the press release , these have been “carefully color-matched” to look like the colors of the original Game Boys. For instance, the red unit takes inspiration from the Game Boy Pocket, while the spice orange one intends to look like the Game Boy Advance’s orange variant. The new Analogue Pockets will go on sale travel on November 17 and retail for $249. That is $30 more than the standard black and white units. You can expect to get your hands on them a few days after the 20th, just in time for Christmas. Make sure to get your hands on them as soon as possible if you’re interested because, as with other limited edition handheld consoles, Analogue has released in the past, these will only be available for a limited period. We saw this with the recently announced transparent and glow-in-the-dark console versions.
The Analogue Pocket, a third-party Game Boy handheld, was initially released in 2021. One of the Analogue Pocket’s biggest USPs is its excellent expandability . This was one of the two most marketed features when it launched in 2019. Developers could transform the handheld into other consoles, including the Super Nintendo, via an extra FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and some easy updates.
The second most attractive feature was the Analogue Pocket’s ability to accommodate original game cartridges from classic consoles like the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. This one is good for gamers who want access to older data but find carrying a handful of cartridges inconvenient.
